Golden Point in New York was the great setting for an entertaining day of the Pro Am tournament of the first Grand Master of the season, where figures such as Marcelo Gallardo, renowned Argentine soccer coach, and Rudinei Kalil, president of Motorola North America, among others, participated.

The mini tournament, characteristic of the A1 Pádel circuit, has that competitive DNA of having players and former athletes for a magnificent event in the New York city.

The president and founder of A1 Pádel, Fabrice Pastor, reached the final together with the Portuguese Pedro Perry. But it was the duo of Joaquín de Astoreca and the Argentine businessman Barrionuevo who took the final victory.

Fede Chiostri, A1 Pádel figure and River Plate fan, had the pleasure of sharing the court with the multiple Argentine champion coach Marcelo Gallardo. For his part, Kalil played with Maxi Sánchez Blasco. The “Muñeco” was also present in the quarterfinal matches of the New York Grand Master, thus enjoying the event.

In statements, the American Champion stated, laughing: “we amateurs play as much as we can and that amuses me. I have a great relationship with Tito Allemandi and every time he goes to Buenos Aires we play, just like with Fede. I have fun playing with them, I have a good time and I learn at the same time. He is passionate about paddle tennis, and I like people who feel what they do.”

For his part, Kalil, president of Motorola North America, said: “we have opted for A1 Pádel because we trust in its development in the United States. The idea is not only to be present at this event, but also at the following ones. We plan many interesting activations between both brands.”

The Pro Ams are a way more than established in A1 Pádel to give space to promoters, figures and personalities, in addition to being another of the many strategies for the development of the sport worldwide. The New York Grand Master was no exception.
