The Spanish couple and number three in the ranking, have won the title of the Malmo Open after beating Martín Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuk in the final by 6-3/6-4. With this victory Galán and Lebron demonstrate, once again, the good moment they are going through and that they are ready to compete for the ranking number. With the victory at the Malmo Open they add their fourth title of the season, the second in a row after Menorca (three in the last four tournaments) and they are the couple that has won the most titles in the second part of the season, with a total of four.
The match started with an advantage for Galán and Lebron, who quickly got a break on the superkids’ first serve. The Spanish duo managed to increase their lead to 4-1, when Di Nenno and Stupa began to react and close the gap on the scoreboard. The Argentine duo was more solid with their serve and did not allow any breaks in the remainder of the set.
However, both pairs won their serves in the three subsequent games. This allowed Galán and Lebron to assert their advantage to end up taking the set 6-3. The Spanish couple arrived at the break after setting the pace of the match in the first round and hoping to continue this trend in the second.

The superkids went out to the second set looking to react, to prevent Galán and Lebron from starting the second set the same as the first. The Argentine duo raised the level and equality reigned in the second set. In this second set, the four players gave the public great points, a sign of the intensity of the set. Both couples were able to defend their serves, they had to do their best to not give any advantage to their rivals. The two couples were able to break their rivals’ serve on several occasions, but finally the servers made their services count.
The score was 4-4 with the two couples even and giving everything to try to take advantage of any opportunity to have an advantage. The game was closely contested and the golden point was reached, which gave Galán and Lebron the opportunity to break the serve of their rivals, in this case that of Di Nenno, and serve to win the match. A good combination of blows by Ale Galán, first with a lob and then with a shot from the rest that Stupaczuk made to Galán’s own lob, gave the Spanish couple the break. Galán and Lebron sealed their victory in the next game that made it 6-4.
Ale Galán and Juan Lebron achieve a new victory and lift their second consecutive title. While Di Nenno and Stupaczuk, with this defeat, are unable to close the gap with the numbers one, Tapia and Coello. The World Padel Tour season now faces its final stretch, in a week the Mexico Open will begin, which will be the last tournament of the season, and in December the Final Master will be held in Barcelona.
